1. Sulfur Handling

Liquid sulfur from the filter is collected in            storage tank equipped with steam coil (4 kg / cm2) to maintain the temperature 130-140 Celcius.
2. Manufacture of SO2 gas
    The main equipment was Furnace whose function burning liquid sulfur to dry air that will be               formed SO2 gas. Liquid sulfur from the storage tank into the sulfur spray streamed added Furnace       with dry air of Drying Tower, with the following equation:
     S + O2 -------- SO2 +Q
    The hot gas that is produced 10.5% of the volume of SO2 temperature 1042 ° C and is used for           heating and steam superheater WHB .Gas out of steam superheater temperature to 430 ºC
3. Air drying and absorption of SO3 gas
    Atmospheric air is inhaled by Air Blower passing Drying Tower and absorbed by the water                 contained 98.5% H2SO4, dry air generated by a temperature of 110 ° C is used as an air burners on     Sulfur Furnace. Absorption of SO3 gas from bed 3 and 4 do in Absorber Tower with 98.5%                 H2SO4 is an exothermic reaction:
    SO3 + H2O ------- H2SO4 + Q
    Sulfuric acid from Absorber Tower Drying Tower and collected in storage tanks, if the sulfuric           acid concentration is too high then added water to obtain 98.5% H2SO4
4. Storage and loading
     H2SO4 The resulting product is stored in Acid Storage Tank with a capacity of 10,000 tons (each        tank) and then be transferred to units that need and partly for product loading. H2SO4 product has     a temperature of 45ºC, the concentration of 98.5% by weight (min.), H2O content of 2.0% by             weight (max.), Fe 100 ppm and 150 ppm SO2
