Profile conservation in Baros Village

Mangrove Conservation of Jogjakarta growing public concern about the river mouth Peel and Family Youth-Pemudi Baros (KP2B) to the environment to nurture in relation Based Mangrove Forest Development Community Empowerment.The concern to do and create a natural protection system that is able to reduce or resolve the various problems faced by the community lead to conservation initiatives in the Peel River area.One of the development efforts of conservation land around the river mouth Peel is done by planting mangrove trees. Planting mangrove planting is done in recent times and it is known that the most suitable type in this area is a kind of Api-api (Avicennia sp.).Steps have been made in development activities include:

    1. To disseminate the importance of mangrove ecosystem to the surrounding community.

    2. Formed a core team or task force mangrove.

    3. Set goals, targets, benchmarks of success and the work program.

    4. Working closely with the NGO, the Institute of Education, and related agencies.

    5. Held a meeting to draw up proposal.

    6. Proposal sent to the funders who have an understanding in mangrove conservation rescue

        region coastal areas           

Step socialization is very important to equalize the vision, mission and objectives to be carried out together in mangrove conservation. Stages of socialization is very important made to obtain full support in the development of community-based mangrove ecosystem and lay people as a subject of activity is not the object of activities in achieving the common goal of conservation of mangrove forest.In order Based Mangrove Forest Development Community Empowerment then several groups of target communities assisted.
